Just nuke and reinstall your machine, it's the easiest way to fix that.

Alternatively if you don't have any easy backup boot into safe mode with networking, download malware bytes, download all updates and run a full scan.
fixes it in a few hours.

If you get infected recently there is one more option and that is System restore. Just remember when you get infected and restore back to that date. After restore complete don't restart your computer and scan for viruses with updated antivirus.

I've come accross a few varients of this, one occurance couldn't be fixed with Malwarebytes. However they may have an update for it since then. Of course the only way to be completely sure is to nuke & reinstall as Edi suggested.Zac Naloen wrote:Alternatively if you don't have any easy backup boot into safe mode with networking, download malware bytes, download all updates and run a full scan.

The only varient it couldn't fix was the 2010 version of the virus last I encountered it, and that was because it trashes userinit so you can't log in as anyone.
