Ok I was watching some vids on youtube when I get in text/link to get an upgrade instead on the vid, now I upgrade my flash player as suggest by the link and all goes well for the vid I was watching but when it goes to the next vid on the play list I get the text again and now I got real problems updating flash (again withing 10 mins).

is any else getting this same problem?

I'm also having the same problem, except for me the adobe website is so slow as sin that I am beginning to think the website is broken. Even screwier is if I view a youtube video posted on another site it shows fine but if I go directly to youtube I get this "go update" text instead of the video I just watched. This proves that the flash player is fine it is something wrong with youtube.

I get that sometimes. So far just refreshing the web page has cleared up the problem. I don't have any idea of the root cause, though.

You could do what I did - disable flash and use Firefox to save vidoes of interest and watch them at your leisure.

Just embed it and watch the video in the preview window. It's not as convenient, but it consistently works.

More then likely a bad cookie that refreshing the page overwrites. I deal with that sort of thing all the time at work.

Can you go into more detail about how to save the video?

Somehow youtube is working for me again and I did nothing more to fix it. I am seriously thinking the problem was on their end not mine.
