ok, yesterday my parents brought back 12 boxes of stuff from deep storage, this includes a ton of RPG games of all sorts (regular AD&D, Paranoia, it came from the late, late, late, late, late, show, escape from castle falkenburg, call of cthutlhu, stormbringer, boot hill, traveler, gamma world, Marvel, Dr. Who, Starfleet battles, 1st edition White Wolf, Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader, Talisman (with all boxed sets), etc)

so what should I do with all this shit?

besides go to GWs games day and annoy everyone with articles long out of print?

Put it in a gigantic parcel and mail it to me - I'll pay your shipping and handling. With any luck, it'll get here and I won't have my door immediately beaten in and my dog blown away, too. :)

More seriously, I'd say "Ebay, baby!"

Don't be a douche.

Well I'd take the WH40K Rogue Trader off your hands.

You could probably make a huge bundle selling it. Paranoia is still in demand, and Warhammer obviously has fans. The old Call of Cthulhu rpg is quite nice.

I've heard people still like Starfleet Battles as well.

I suppose the question is: how well will these work on new computers? I'm having a devil of a time getting something like Star Wars Rebellion to work...

Computers? He's talking about pen and paper RPGs... mostly. Starfleet Battles was an old game played with model ships on a board marked out in hexagons. DnD, Paranoia, White Wolf and Call of Cthulhu were pen and paper RPGs. Talisman is a board game and Rogue Trader is a book for tabletop wargaming.

You shouldn't have any issue with your modern computer, unless you expect to play these games on it.

Oh. Whoops. Dang you Geezers and your pen and paper...

But I know there's a PC game with a name similar to Starfleet Battles, or at least with the general concept of 'Star Trek ships pew pew each other' or something. What am I confusing it with? :?

Starfleet Command, actually a decent Star Trek game, one of the best. It's a space sim, but the ships handle like space cruisers.

But only Starfleet Command II: Empires at War.

SCF1 is far too obscure and primitive and it features chunky, klunky-monkey 1970s inspiration as opposed to the movie-series inspired ships, and SFC3 is complete horseshit, dumbed down for the kind of retard for whom six facing arcs was two too many, and pared down to (IIRC) Starfleet, Klingons, Romulans, and Borg. (Were Cardassians in there? I forget.)

SFC2: Empires at War, on the other hand, was made of pure god and win. Especially with a unit editor, Bwahahahahahaah!

SFC1 and SFC2 are both set in the Movie Era styling. They both have Constitution Refits, Miranda's, and Excelsior's.

Sell it on eBay. Bob's right, you could make a fair amount of cash out of this stuff.

Did you ever turn up your copy of Crimson Skies? Because I'd be in the market for that.

Same with your CoC stuff.

Well I've gone through every thing...

actaully it's mostly my comics and all my AD&D+Arduin stuff, the Starfleet battles is only a couple of suppliments, and a stray rule book. However 10+ years of 1st/2nd edition AD&D collection is there, (unearthed arcana, fiend folio, MM1, MM2, MC, DMG, PH, Dieties and Demigods 1st ed. (no that stays with me reguardless), darksun, ravenloft, forgotten realms, and spell jammer box sets. Plus like a hundred moduals)

other things:
Dune board game
Rogue Trader + Chapter Approved (space elves, space dwarves, pirates, Zoats, etc)
Warhammer fantasy+character pack
boothill +1 modual
some other western based RPG
some of my DC and marvel moduals but not my core books
underground the RPG (kinda like marshal law)
enough comics and graphic novels to fill up a book shelf. (elementals sex special, grendel devil by the deed, son of the demon, birth of the demon, bride of the demon (think I like Ras a bit much), Frank Miller's Ronin, a ton of marvel titles I don't even remember buying)

I'd recommend sell what can be sold and then sort out the rest in either recycle/trash piles.

You're certain? I must've been seeing screenshots that came from people using TOS TV styling mods, then.

Still, I love the hell out of some SFC 2.

Did you even play the game, or are you going off of screenshots? :wtf:
