anti virus

How can I get a anti virus to sto blocking me from the internet? I got a wireless card for my laptop and the internet worked fine so then I went to wal mart and got the norton anti virus and installed it and now when I try to get on the internet it blocks it. So I uninstalled it but it is still blocking it! Help!
