Mac- run Chrome from flash drive?

My apologies if this is an elementary question, it's a bit out of my realm of knowledge.

I'd like to be able to use Chrome on my college's computers, presumably by running it from a flash drive. Trouble is, I've seen a bunch of tutorials for how to do this when the destination computer is a PC, but all of the school's computers are Macs. Is anyone more familiar with Macs aware with how to do this, if it's possible at all?

In a related question, if I wanted to sync my personal computer's Chrome's preferences with the one on the flash drive, is there a folder that would just need to be copied?

Thanks in advance :)

I'd recommend checking with your college's IT department beforehand to see if your allowed to even do that. Most IT departments in my experience are rightfully paranoid about users making any software changes/running unapproved software on thier systems. Violations of such policies can often result in loss of privaledges to outright being banned from using the colleges IT infrastructure in your case.

I appreciate the concern, but I'm relatively sure I'm in the clear in this regard. I should have mentioned that in the OP.
