Networking WinXP and Windows 7

So I just got my new computer (running Windows 7, naturally), and I want to transfer my files from my old computer. I'm trying to use Windows Easy Transfer, but it's not working. I think the fault lies in my network, though, not the program.

I followed the instructions here to get my computers on the same network and recognizing each other. That worked... at first. Then my router hiccuped and needed to be reset, and after I did that, I couldn't see the XP machine from the Win7 one anymore... though I can see the reverse just fine.

There is also a Vista machine on the network that was turned on at about the same time as the network troubles started, but I'm not sure that's the cause. The Windows 7 computer can see the Vista computer but not the XP comp. The XP machine can see the Windows 7 machine, but not the Vista one. Perversely, the Vista computer can see the entire network, which helps me not at all.

After I'm done posting this, I'm going to try restarting both my computers and seeing if that helps. If not, I'm out of ideas. Anyone know what to do here?

Use a flash drive, or just tell Windows Easy Transfer you are going to use a flash drive and then manually transfer the file over the network.

I find, when transferring a ton of files, it's easier and faster just to temporarily connect your old hard drive to the new machine, rather than using networking or media.

I got the network fixed and Easy Transfer running. It would take an entire day to do the job. So yes, I'm going to hook up the hard drive into the second bay on this one and do it that way.
