I brought up recently that Space Rangers was available on GOG and on Starks advice waited to see if the second game was released. It has been, its Space Rangers 2:Dominators. Here's where the confusion starts, as I understand it, there are two or three distinct releases of SR2, what is this one, and is it worth getting?

I'm not sure which version GOG is selling, I purchased SR2 from Stardock a few years ago ($25 for a SR1 & SR2 bundle).

Combat is difficult at first, until you can afford decent shields and repair droids. The economy is dynamic (separate buy/sell prices, and the prices fluctuate based on supply), although there are only 8 commodities, some of which are illegal on various planets. Missions are all time limited and range from simple FedEx and assassination, to more complex text adventures.

Overall, I find it to be a very enjoyable game, definitely worth the $10 GOG is offering it for. Stark was right to advise waiting for SR2, it's a much better game.

I believe the version you want is Space Rangers 2 Complete.
