AMD Has Done Something Odd

No link yet, because no news source I could find has a single word on it, but apparently AMD has instructed major distributors to delist their desktop processors as of the last couple hours, tops. D&H and Tech Data no longer have Athlon or Phenom SKUs available, only Opteron parts. Distributor reps are just as puzzled as I am. Aside from the upcoming Llano APU just getting its closed-door demos, I haven't found any signs of new AMD processors, which makes this...doubly puzzling, as that's just more Fusion 'let's own the low end' stuff.
Has anyone else run across this, perhaps with some more information as to why?

Define "major" distributor. I've never heard of TechData or D&H. But I can find a bunch of AMD stuff on NewEgg just fine.

I believe White Haven may be refering to the distributors that serve as middle-men between AMD and retailers.

Newegg is an end-user-facing online retailer. I'm talking about real distributors, as atg clarified. Whatever's going on hasn't yet filtered down to actual stores/outlets yet.

Preparation for launching the Bulldozer? It's the only idea coming to my mind.

Maybe they've found a bug in their hardware, like Intel had a while back.

Most of those things have been out for...awhile...
