You know that Firefox search engine on the upper right corner? Which you can use to automatically search shit on Wikipedia and whatever without opening the wikipedia page first? Well, something's wrong with mine. I try to search for things in thesaurus.com using the Firefox search thinggy, except it doesn't take me to thesaurus.com, it takes me to... yahoo.com.uk.

So I put "hat" in the firefox search box, click thesaurus.com, and it gives me this:

uk.search.yahoo.com/404handler?ei=UTF-8&p=thesaurus+reference+hat+browse&url=http%3A%2F%2Fthesaurus.reference.com%2Fbrowse%2Fhat%3Fr%3D76%26src%3Dref%26ch%3Dthe&src=toolbar&nrd=1&fr=slv404-msgr

Oh fuck me, I tried to download Hijack This but when I press the download link, I am again redirected to the uk.search.yahoo.com/404.

Virus? Scan your computer and see if the computer is infected.

Or, what precise search engine are you using? You say Firefox but AFAIK they don't have one, just a search box in which you can choose search engines like Google, Yahoo and so forth.

What kind of virus would redirect you to the UK Yahoo site?

Who knows. The problem seems to have disappeared. Strange.
