New Virus on Yahoo Answers Clone

I noticed today that on Yahoo answers, there are a lot of people (presumably hijacked by bots) advertising "
http://answers-yahoo-z.tk/"
When you go there, there is a download link that downloads a relatively small *.exe file, 166kb.
Does anyone know anything about this? I'm guessing it's a virus, although I haven't yet tested it out using Wine yet (running Linux in a limited-privileges account, of course), and it is deceptively small.

Nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
Seriously, what else do you think it could possibly be?

If my computer was capable of running a proper (as in, not a micro Linux distro) system in Virtualbox (I only have 512MB of RAM), I would probably run it in a virtual machine and see what happens. Until I get a new computer for my birthday (late June), I'll just have to stay content with running it in Wine as another user with no access to the system or my main home directory.

Well, at first I avoided going to the page because I thought it might be something along the lines of the "LOL! Hello!" page, and when I finally went there, I covered up the central part of the screen just in case it was.

It may be built to get from the VM onto the real machine, if it's clever enough...

That would be a pretty amazing virus to go from a Windows VM to a Linux system.

You haz point. Still, with enough time, dedication, and a large enough virus, it
could be done...

IMHO, searching for a way to get a virus from a VM to the host machine would be like searching for cracks in an event horizon.
But I'll go Google the subject anyway.

Lucky...
If I do this hard enough, I may manage to bash out the parts of my brain that remember the horrible, horrible things done to the 'laws' of physics... Even by ST standards that episode was an atrocity. Hell, even by Voyager standards it was an atrocity, and they contradicted themselves all over the place!
Or I might just bash out the bits that care about the laws of physics. That would also work.
