Driver Issues

Post by DaZergRock54444 »

I have been trying to find certain drivers for my brother's computer (a Dell Optiplex GX520) and there is one in particular that I can't find, the 'video controller (vga compatible)'. The reason I need this is because my computer is the one that can play all the games, and I am going on a semi-vacation with it, and this other comp has a 256 ATI graphics card that the drivers require the video controller.

Any assistance you could render would be most appreciated.

You'll have to be a lot more specific - which OS are you using, and which model of graphics card is it? If you know that, then you can just go to the ATI website and download the Catalyst driver, which should work fine.

That'll be an ATI Radeon X600, so just do what DaveJB said. Since I assume that it's running Windows XP like my brother's old Optiplex was, here's a direct link to the download.

Yes, the OS is an XP, but the card is a Radeon 9200. At least, so says the sticker on the card. I'll try to look at the ATI site one more time.

I appreciate the help, but the link goes to a "This download is not authorized" page on AMD. I'll try grabbing the driver the old fashioned way from the site. I'll try to let you know whether or not that works.
