Recommend me a headset

Post by Thanas »

As the title says. I am currently hunting for a headset with a decent microphone in it. Budget is up to 60$.

Decent how?
A good set of headphones starts at 100$ with a microphone attached here, "decent" IE one that works starts at 15$ in any store that sells computer accessories.
More details required.

Basically, what I need is a headset that has good outside noise cancellation and does not overdo the bass. In microphones, I need something that does a good job of recording voices, as in reading off a contract agreement.

60$ was more of an ideal, if need be I can spend five times as much, but would not like to.

I'm using a Speedlink Medusa NX right now. 5.1 surround sound, decent mic and remote on the wire to customise the output. No problems so far in about a year using them.
Before that I had a Razr Barracuda. Pretty much the same though the mic was very good, it was so clear that when I was playing online with a friend he could hear and comment on the news from my TV several feet away.

Both are very good, but I'm favouring the Speedlink, the mic is a lot more flexible and easier to position, it has larger cups that give more space for my ears and also folds up more compact.
