Looking for a camcorder

So I'm going on a trip in a month, and I'm looking for a decent video camera to bring with me. Lpoking for it to be HD, have optical zoom, not portrait form factor(held like a phone). Looking to spend no more than USD300 on it. Anyone have any suggestions?
