Tablet has become a channeler for the souls of the damned

I have a ViewSonic Viewbook I got about a month and a half ago. It's worked fine until sometime last night, when the speakers stopped working. I still get sound with a headset fine, but the speakers on the device give no sound.

Managed to get it to play sound with an alarm app I use, but in addition to the music that was played, there was this incredibly loud screeching drone, much akin to the screams of a thousand damned souls.

Was wondering if anyone might know what the problem is.

I don't know about tablets, but in laptops it's usually busted speakers.

Man, and here I thought it was about some dude who tries to scam people with some sort of ghost claim involving his tablet.

:D

Whelp, luckily it's practically new, so the warranty should cover it.

Still a pain in the ass.

I would tend to suspect a faulty built-in microphone, I remember we had a few laptops at work that would produce some godawful noises because the built-in mike had fucked up.
