Just found this and sharing is caring (unless it's the wife of your best friend, then it's adultery).

warning: evil german subtitles, you have been warned

I just hope they are not using voice-actors for the real game.
The charme of the LEGO [Franchise name here] games was the portrayal
of the story without words and a lot of comedy / parody.

A more serious Lego game would just feel wrong to me.

They're using voice acting from now on, starting with LEGO Batman 2.

Removing one of the best core elements?! :banghead: Fuck... that'll pretty much kill all the fun for me...

I'll cry in the corner and gorge myself on chocolate icecream now.

Is the LOTR licence worth anything anymore? Surely the time for this game was five years ago.

TBH with half of these I reckon it's the value of the Lego brand that's actually being used, following the generally positive critical reception the series has had they're just looking for any old thing to Lego up.

Also, obviously, this lets them remind everyone of hobbits in time for the movie at the end of this year.

And the inevitable real life LEGO tie in.

For some reason Frodo's face, when he's caught in Shelob's webbing, just cracked me up. http://thelordoftherings.lego.com/en-us ... /9470.aspx

I'm pretty sure LOTR is popular enough that the licence will be worth quite a bit for the foreseeable future. Also, the Hobbit movie is about to come out.
