As the title says, I'm looking for good mods for the original Operation Flashpoint. I've recently gotten back into playing this game, and still love it, after all these years. But there is only so far the original content can take me, so I was wondering if anyone knew of good mods for it.
Also...my copy is the Game of the Year Edition, and when I looked at how to instal mods for OpFlash, every website said you needed to put them in the 'addon' folder...but none of the files from the GOTY edition are labeled like that...so if anyone knows how to instal mods to this version of the game, that would help too.
Thanks in advance for any help!

I think you have to make the Addons folder in some cases, and the mods at least for adding units simply work when you drop the files in. I recall it being real easy, but it has been a long time.
. It would probably make a lot more sense to just go right to the official forums though, since they have massive threads info and utter silly hoards of mods.

Okay then...thanks for the help and link Skimmer. I just wanted to ask here before I trawled through the monstrosity that I'm sure the Bohemia forums are.

The ninja mod. Just to see how far people were able to take that engine by the end - huge jumps, wall-running, swimming...
The ACE mods are worthwhile and there's a bunch that add modern shaders and effects which make it look pretty impressive.
BAS and LASER do good addons, but they don't replace models/textures, they're new units. But damn cool ones - they created fast roping and sling loading scripts that they then built into context menu options. Nashe Ouriye created some impressive stuff to let you drive vehicles into a Mi-26, tie it down and then air drop it later.
OFPEC appears to still be updated with live links for stuff - http://www.ofpec.com/addons_depot/index ... d&type=xyz

Re: Any good mods for Operation Flashpoint?
Okay...another quick question. I followed the instructions here: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/modfolders
For installing a 'modfolder' and getting a shortcut connected to it. That seemed to go right, and the shortcut worked...the problem is that the stuff in the folder didn't come up in the actual game...so I'm wondering if I did something wrong...all I did was go to the main folder for OFP (the one with all the preferences and such...and ironically enough an addon folder that I somehow missed) and created a new folder. Then I linked the shortcut to where it would load with that new folder (like the link said to do) but the mission I have in the folder didn't work.
(said mission being:http://www.ofpec.com/missions_depot/ind ... 0#comments since I wanted to just pick a random one to see if it would work...the OFP forums aren't much help...so anyone who knows how to mod...can you help me out here? )

False alarm...I figured it out and am now running Flashpoint with the FFUR Mod.
And oh boy...it's practically a new game!
The vehicles, soldiers, weapons...its all new, and I like it!
