Fuse (Demo)

Kinda Mass Effecty Gears of Warish.
The movement feels slow, like the characters are walking through water, but otherwise not bad. (Cover and run are not the same buttons which is good, but run is A not "click the movement stick" which is now officially points against.)
It has a skill tree progression similar to ME3. (X amount in one skill/group unlocks next group)
The demo doesn't really allow for the full feel of what you can do at this point I think.
The weapons are kinda interesting. The shield pistol is cool and the mini hammer of dawn is neato. Other than that it looks like standard shotguns, snipers, crossbows (so fucking lame) type stuff. You can pick up Gatling guns and flame throwers. Set up floating turrets. Grenades. Cover blah blah blah. Like I said, GoWish.
You can be stealthy, but there is no crouch or belly crawl so the only time it works is when you are in cover which is pretty fucking lame.
It looks to be 4 person co-op for the campaign which is good, but I don't know if it is going to have a proper multi.
The rest of the squad has bad to OK AI, but you can jump to whichever squad member you want which is a nice throw back to fucking Sega Genesis days , and control their weapons and special doodads.
I thought it may be a little more open, (My dream of Assassins Mass of War Unleashed has yet to be realized) but it seems to be pretty bog standard linear go here and hit this switch to get into here, but it is just the demo and they only offer two levels of combat.
Now it does look to have dress up which is always a bonus, and like Stark and I wax intellectual about often, we would pay for some good dress up in most games we like, even if it is the hated micro transactions. They are offering some pre order stuff, like customizing outfits and upgrading weapons, but it isn't clear how much you can actually do and given the limited customization the demo allows, I'm not sure if this game is going to get the Havok Dress Up Seal of Approval (most games don't).
Overall, I think if you had four people playing it could be fun.
Does anyone know anything about Insomniac, which is the company that developed the game for EA?
