Medieval is nothing compared to the carnage you see in this game. In Cossacks, you can lose hunderds of units in a few seconds to heavy artillery bareages.

And I won't go into what machineguns...erm, Multi-barreled cannons do to unarmored infantry.

Have a very nice day.

A long time ago, when I was just learning how to play EW (AoW wasn't out yet), I was playing the Russian campaign.

I was getting my ass handed to me at Narva, so I've decided to cheat.

I've won the battle with the aid of one multibarrel. (poor Swedish Grenadiers  )

Have a very nice day.

"WHERE'S MY ARTILLARY!! WHERE'S MY ARTILLARY!! WHERE ARE THE MINIGUNS, HELL JUST GIVE ME ANYTHING!!!"

The Prussians don't need Artillery at that point. They've already won.

Have a very nice day.

Oh, wait, they didn't.

Still, this won't help the red, unless they've got something massive under the fog of war.

Have a very nice day.

No, something like 50 multi-barreled cannons with cannons and howitzers providing long-range fire support, and guarded by fully upgraded Grenadiers.

Or, a few thousand cuirasiers supported by even more dragoons would work, too. Actually, it seems to be exactly what red is using.

Have a very nice day.

System requirements?

by HemlockGrey
Cossacks? Russian fellows, right? I vaguely remember crushing them under the Byzantine imperial boot in the year 1324. Clearly, this must be some sort of parellel universe.

Speaking of which, what ARE the system reqs?

I don't know offhand, but pretty reasonable.

System reqs: from my AoW CD:
Minimal recs: P2-350/64MB RAM/DirectX compatible card/Monitor supporting 1024x768 resolution/600Megs on HD.

Recomended: P3-500/128MB Ram/DirectX compatible card/Monitor supporting 1024x768 resolution/600Megs on HD/DirectX compatible sound card. It also tells me that my version of Cossacks would not work under XP.

Have a very nice day.

Hmm. I have a 350...but hell, the minimum reqs for Medieval are 450, and it runs on my comp fine, so I'll give it a shot...

Eh, PC Gamer gave it a pretty low score awhile back, and they tend to be right on many things.

Were they talking about European Wars or the Art of War?

While the game looks insanely cool, the graphics are a little....dated.

Must... purchase... game.

It looks groovetastic.

It's good, but the AI (At least in European Wars) doesn't want to build large armies, it just sends small groups over, which I find somewhat unsatisfying...
