I used to love to play cat and mouse. I'd even kick your ass as the cat. I'll occaisonally pop it in for a day or two playing steak, but I've mostly abandoned it. That's why they need to make a SC2.

I'm playing through a pirated copy of SC for the first time, once I get fifteen or so dollars together I'll head out and buy the legit set of SC games. They're pretty fun; I'm only at the point tactically where my favorite multiplayer strategy is to produce a hoard of Battlecruisers and science vessles though.

I've played the watered-down version on N64 and did OK. I still want to get my hands on a real copy.

Yeah, sometimes, I'm too lazy to play much anymore though, it's so much effort to do well against anyone good .
Still one of my favourite games ever, though.

If you had asked me 2 months ago, the answer would have been "NO"

But recently, I've been getting back into the game. Anyone up for a game? What's your b.net name?

The release date would be 2-3 years frm now, and they would push it back so frequently that it wouldn't surface until 2035....

I haven't played it online for quite some time, and due to the attrocity that is v1.10, I may never again.

I do, however, still play many fanmade campaigns for Starcraft... anyone want links?

Good memories, but I haven't had time to play in a while. Like others I'd like to see an SC2 (rather than just the watered down Ghost), or failing that, maybe another expansion pack. If I ever get back to having free time, I know I'll be playing it again.

When you get the expansion, mix some valks in with that and you'll get a quasi-viable (if mind-boggilingly expensive) tactic.

Why's 1.10 so bad? It just fixed some minor things

When you get the expansion, mix some valks in with that and you'll get a quasi-viable (if mind-boggilingly expensive) tactic.
Tactics to kill that:

Terran: Ghosts - lockdown all Battleships - "Nuclear launch detected"
Or Goliaths

Zerg: Hydralisks with Dark Swarm, plague, Devourers can be added for an even larger massacre.

Protoss: Psi-Storm, Feedback, Mind control.
Interesting Fact: One Dark Archon can kill 3 fully upgraded Battlecruisers - Feedback 2 of them, mind control the third (udamaged one). Yamato one of the Battlecruisers. And shoot the last one to bits.

One of my favourite tactics (on Island maps) - lots of wraiths with cloaking. You can take out enemy detectors quite effectively, and you can always run away :p

It's also fun to kill 7 computers in a melee (so they only attack you). Only really possible with Zerg on a normal map though (rush 2 of them, and 5 computers can be defeated relatively easily).
On BGH its easiest with Terrans - Bunker the entrance shut, Siege Tanks behind them, 2 layers of Missile Turrets around the island. Build mass Battlecruisers.
It's funniest with Protoss though, because you can get all three races (shuttle in a Dark Archon, Mind control and recall with an Arbiter.).

Oh, did I mention that I played Sc and BW a lot :P

And like everyone else: I'm waiting for SC2.
Gonna take 3-4 years though :(

I said quasi-viable, not be all end all. Obviously it's not too hard to beat, but if you're facing easily scared players then they'll probably run.
