Only card game I played was Steve Jackson's INWO. That was back in the early/mid 90's.

Ha, I played that a few times. Good stuff.

Yes, I play it quite often. I shall never touch Magic Online, however, as it is a Bad Idea.
If you have any Blistering Firecats, I'll give you $10 for 'em!

Still do for fun sometimes.
Have two decks, a White/Blue Knights Deck (White Knights, Knights of Dawn etc, counterspells and Capsize)
and a Red/Black Mass Dwarf deck that also has a ton of legends and fun anti-creature black spells. (Terror, Dregs of Sorrow etc)

MEMEMEMEMEMEMEME!!!
*Ahem*
I've got a Green/White trample deck... Lots of oversized creatures and is partially anti-black too (Friend plays black)
Btw, there's a freeware program for MTG... Try
http://www.dragonstudios.com/apprentice/
I'd play, but my router interferes, and I have yet to obtain the PW.

Word!! My "Crab Smash!" deck was great. I had a friend who would design theme decks and enter them in tournaments. They were fucking hilarious, but they usually did so badly that the tournament organizers named the prize for last place after him, the "David Read Prize."
My favorite was the Lesser-Oni-honor-explosion Scorpion deck, the mechanic of which was to put about sixty lesser oni onto one character, have that character enter into a special duel (which was considered a battle) with one of the opponents characters, who he'd fit with some sort of Geisha that could re-direct any honor gains that character made to him. So the lesser-oni character would job the battle, die, and then David would get a hundred-some-odd honor redirected to him. Good times...

I remember my 17 4/6 flying tokens... Hehe. There was some spell I forgot which destroyed all creatures and made them 1/1 flying tokens, then I played Overrun (All your creatures get +3/3 and trample), while there were 2 Spidersilk Armors in play...
0W|\|463!
Then there was my Rushwood Elemental that got to a 24/25 trample creature which healed me when it dealt damage... Hehe.

I have a healthy collection dating back to my 'boredom' years. Still play with my cousin's kids when they ask.
I used to be particularly good at developing rediculously effective combos that would end games far too quickly to be interesting.

All fear the might of the undead deck, the Vampire deck, and the Big Green deck. Not to mention the Tri-color of Death.
Undead deck- Dealing 20 points to a player within a turn (You Die)
Vampire Deck- Feed the Vampires!
Big Green- Looky, I have two 24/25's and 30 3/3 Centaur tokens...
Tri-Color - Rith is my friend...look at all those 111 saproling tokens. You've gotta love White Red and Green doing what each does best.

I play ... a lil bit, its hard to find other people that do.
I got my black/red lock down deck
blue/white counter deflection deck
black/blue breeding pit opposition deck
red speedy direct damage
and my all white weinnie beat down
Theres comic shops around here with tables for gamming and stuff, but everyone is only playing Yu-Gi-Oh.... god i hate that game. So the shops are filled with a bunch of 8 year olds for the most part, but once in a while magic players come in, and thats always kinda nice.

Yep, and I'm trying to build T1 decks. I got an almost optimized SuiBlack. The much needed old cards are too damn expensive though...

*ahem* Ebon Praetor, Gravebane Zombie, Hand of Justice, and Field of Souls. Every turn the Praetor eats the Zombie. The Zombie enters the graveyard. A 1/1 white flying creature is created by the Field. The Zombie returns from the graveyard to the top of the deck. Draw the Zombie. Summon the Zombie. Wash, rinse, repeat. Once there are three token creatures, tap them and the Hand to destroy any creature in the game.

Classic, but inefficient. Just play out
Spirit Mirror and
Unnatural Selection. Instantly, any creature that you can target dies for 1 mana.

My friend got a card the other day, that if it damages a player, they lose the game.

Ya know... I had some *great* decks, among them:
A White/Blue flyer deck with 4 Serras, assorted falcons, owls, and birds, counters out the wazzso, and Divine Transformation (turn that 1/1 Falcon into a 4/4 untapping monster). She was called
80%, because that was her win-ratio at the local store.
A Red/Green/Blue
Dragon Deck. This was the expensive one... with 10 Dual Lands, 4 Shivans, 2 Volcantic Dragons, 2 Pheonix cards (Bogaritan?), 1 HellKite, 4 Granite Gargoyles, 2 Viashivan Dragons, and various drakes and of course, 4 Dragon Whelps. For non-critters it had mana-source Artifacts, counterspells, Streams of Life, and a few Direct Damage.
But... they all got Stolen.
But, I've recreated
80% with bird and angels from newer expansions sets, and I've come up with some newer, nastier ideas as I've replaced my lost cards and bought new ones.
Ka-niggit Deck: Red/White. Nearly totally Mirage/Visions, with that nice little ability that gave a blocking creature -1/-1 *before* the knight even deals damage. Then add nice little tricks like Direct Damage and Pacifism to get rid of those pesky flyers, and I clear the field.
Arches 5-Color deck. This little beauty functions on the Dragon Gate Artifact... which allows you to play any multi-color summon card for 2(tap).
Sliver Shivers: Red/Green/White Pre-made Tourney deck, with additional slivers from the original Rath Saga. Nassty.
Poison Deck: Totally Green, totally Snakes and poison counters.
Equus Attack: Red/White/Green Horse-deck. Horses, Unicorns, Centaurs, with life-giving and direct damage.
Feline Frenzy: Red/Green/White Cat deck. Lions and Tigers and Cat Warriors, oh My!
Island Paradise: Total Blue deck, with Island walkers/dwellers and cards to turn your lands into islands for them to swim in.
Burn Baby Burn: Totally Red Direct Damage.
So......
Anyone up for a game?

I almost think I should step out of retirement and teach all you young whippersnappers how to play a card-based strategy game. *laugh* I imagine I could throw together a quick-kill deck in Apprentice or something. Be mighty messy for those who don't follow Sixth Edition rules too well.

I used to play it.... Not brilliantly, but I did have a white/black deck that had a great counter for big creature decks....
It consisted of two enchantments that you slapped on his strongest creature: the first one would redirect any damage dealt to you to that creature, and the second one would redirect damage dealt to that creature to it's owner.
Kinda served as a warning to all players, not to summon any creature you're not capable of removing from play yourself.
(or carry a few counterspells in your deck just in case)
