Percussion Freaks and other simulation games...

Has anyone here played these sort of games at your local arcade? Here, lots of people play them especially the dance simulation games. They're a good way of making people exercise...

There's actually a school that purchased DDR machines to get people to excercise; they also charge for it when the gym class isn't using it

I play Dance dance revolution, Pump it up, Drum mania, Guitar Freaks, IIDX ( beatmania ), popin music, Para Para Paradise, mocap boxing, and police 911.
Heh, i never pay for it though... that would be awful expensive ^^;

That's pretty expensive considering that if you have a Playstation, you can just buy the DDR mat and CD...

The majority of home pads suck, if it s not metal, its going to slide around hella, and that just isn't cool.

Indeed. The machine is far more robust and won't slide on the shiny gym floor.

The Koreans made their own version of DDR. It's called EZ-to-Dancer and you both have to use your arms and legs for dancing.

I wonder how hard nowadays it'd be to find a copy of Samba De Amigo and a pair of maracas for the DreamCast.

I think it'd be intersting to get DDR Max and a decent dancepad for the PS2, but I think Utsanomiko vetoed the idea.

Theres also a ddr rip off called Pump It Up... with 5 buttons, and being just near impossible xD ... good game though.

The pad is set up like that, and all too often, does it make you hit 3, 4, and 5 arrows at once.
