Soirehtyiaz Corporate Segment requests to join the trade alliance and would help with the interstellar security force.

The Floater Republics believe in unrestricted trade regardless. Are there any reasons for joining the trade allliance besides gaining unrestricted trade?

The Kelia Alliance would like to shamelessly advertise that it has a large surplus of steel.

It ensures that you are part of a group that makes sure you keep unrestricted trade. It ensures that local companies have access to foreign markets, the trade off is that foreign companies have free reign in local markets.
It's a tremendous overall boost to the economy, but you run the risk of becoming dependant on it.

Despite the fact that Floater clusters already have unrestricted free trade, we request permission to join the union, if for no other reason than to facilitate opening up those markets which restrict the Freedom of the Void by enforcing trade restrictions.

The Asgard Star Empire would like the petion to enter. We will escort and defend any ships that are interested in convoying. How ever any warship and certain armed merchants will be required to halt at three light months outside of my systems.

The Senate and the caesar are currently deliberating as to whether the New Roman Empire will be signatory to this league.
The Senate and the Emperor Romulus Caesar Augustus require two assurances before any vote is called.
1) The New Roman Empire will have the power to leave the league at any time, with no repercussions.
2) The New Roman Empire maintains a database of all vessels trading within it's colonies and caepiddas. In order to register with the database, a small fee is required, and any unauthorized vessels entering Imperial territory are subject to search and seizure. The New Roman Empire must be assured that this practice will not be infringed upon if they join the league. Other than this minor restriction, free trade will be assured within Roman territory.

It just occured to me that UPK stands for United Pirate Kingdoms who have a thing against large corporations. Probably not actually the sort we want as an ITA founding member...
New Proposal: Expel UPK, assume all bills except the international security bill passed and elect a new third founding member from one of the applicants.
Yea
Minmatar
Nay

Put the bill on hold, and if he acts against the interests of the treaty, expell him. But I would like to add the Floaters to the Top Council if possible. They did enough over at the UP to show they are diligent enough to deserve it. And this time lets put the Headquarters in space so we can make sections of it zero-G

The ITA cannot make any guarantees at this time as it is still in the process of forming. Such issues will need to be proposed and seconded once there are more then three nations signatory to the ITA.

There needs to be an odd number of founding members for the veto to work properly. We either promote two or replace one. Perhaps demote UPK to regular member and promote floaters to founding member status?
Note: If you agree to this we'll have the majority vote and the ITA will be officially formed.

Just wondering, why do we need odd numbers for the veto to work properly?
Also I say leave the UPK where it is untill they perform an action against the ITA. Then you can propose it, and if it is serious enough we'll drop them like flies.

I would like to make a motion that the Asgard Empire be given a veto in return for agreements for the regular patrols of spacelanes in our immediate neighborhood.

Here, perfect solution. We keep the UPK where it is, boost the Asgard Empire, and the Floaters to Veto votes, and leave it at that.

If you would like us to take part as one of the founding members of the ITA, it would be our pleasure. Free Trade is one of the fundamental rules of Floater society, and it would make sense to put us in a position to allow further free trade.

While the Roman Empire would like to be a signatory, it cannot join until it's requests have been satisfied.

The Floater Republics will vote Nay to any vote giving the New Roman Empire a place in the ITA, until the New Roman Empire removes the section of it's demand which asks those who enter it's "space" to pay a fee. The Void is free for all who would travel peaceably-
And it should be pointed out that the New Roman Empire would probably receive greater profits from unrestricted trade than the limited trade it would get if it billed those who wished to trade with it's citizens, government, and corporations.

The fee to enter Roman space is a one-shot deal. It is merely to assure that all vessels in Roman space are properly supervised and pose no threat to our esteemed populace.

Now that we have 7 members, I'm going to re-propose Issue 2
The creation of a multinational deep space ITA security force for protecting ITA convoys in deep space. Does anyone second this?
The Minmatar would also like to remind the New Roman Empire that in order to have a say in ITA policy, you must be an ITA member. If you were a signatory you would be able to propose your requests in the form of a bill to be seconded, at which point it will be voted upon. The ITA is to be run democratically. Would you like to apply for membership?
