This is an INvitation to the Asgard Empire, the Pan-Slavic Republic, the New Roman Empire, the Floater Clusters , and any other European Nation.

I would like to broach the Idea of a Defense Alliance between all of us to help our militaries grow in power, and to ensure total destruction of all attackers. The terms would include joint training of our troops/ships, a mutual defense treaty that would over-ride all other treaties, and a shared military command that would deal with joint military ventures.

If you would like in please post in the affirmative, if not post in the negative.



P.S. I know the FLoaters are not European, but they do have a bondsman in my capital, and I believe they could provide a great advantage to us, and we to them if we included them in with this offering.

I would be willing to enter this alliance.

Though the Monacoran Empire, the Slavic Republic, and the Asgard Empire have all shown themselves to be trustworthy, moral nations, we of the Free Floater republics regret to inform you that current public opinion against the New Roman Empire prohibits us from joining in any cooporative organization of which they are part.

We are hestiant to enter such an alliance with powers as belligerent as the NRE.

Prehaps we could try something a tad more underhanded, adding an article to the treaty saying that an attack on one was an attack on all. And because the NRE already has a Mutual Defense Pact with me it would come to your, and our aid. This would accomplish the defense, without the Stigma of you being allied with the NRE.

You misunderstand- the Floater Republics are not worried that international pressure will turn against us for joining with the NRE- rather, the freemen/bondmen/lovebound of the Floater Republics see the NRE as a danger to all Free People, and to the Unbound. We have no wish of coming to their aid should they be attacked, and we do not want them coming to OUR aid if WE are attacked!

Besides, of the powers elligible for membership, we are already allies of one sort of another with most of them.

Huh? what do you mean?

In order for me to get troops from the Provinces of Monaco and Andora I need to go through the NRE. Ditto with troops from the Middle Eastern Provinces.

What I was suggesting was that I would work out an agreement where the NRE would come to help you if attacked, and you would not have to help it by me making concessions to the NRE alone.

Why make your troops walk?

Anyways, in the unlikely circumstance that war breaks out between Terrestrial powers on EArth herself, I'll wager that the planet will be so nuked, it simply won't matter were you can and can't march your men.

Alright, how about we remove the NRE from the talks?

Possibly a stupid question, but has the Roman Empire so much as expressed interest in joining this alliance? Their representative seems strangely silent on this issue, particularly considering how much of the debate centers around his organization.

(in off chance somebody was wondering, no I am not interested in joining the Eurpoean alliance.)

You are more then welcome to join in the place of the NRE if you wish, and the other member nations agree.

So who else is willing to become a signatory to this treaty?
