Hey, hey! When I first tried the game, I decided to start small...so I picked Nicaragua. It is hard as fucking hell to do anything with Nicaragua. I couldn't even take Costa Rica. Then I tried being Cuba. It's still pretty hard to be Cuba. I was just barely able to take the Dominican Republic before I decided to try something else.

I then was Latvia, and I successfully conquered Estonia and had my sights on Lithuania, but then Germany and the USSR were at war, and Russia wanted my land, all of it, so I joined the Axis. The Germans were not able to protect my land.

So then I chose Switzerland. I joined the Axis as soon as I could. I held off the French, sent my troops as expeditionary forces to Germany, and sat back, researched and shared techs, and watched the Axis dominate the world. I think it helped that I set "aggressiveness" to "furious", the axis seem to do better when you do that. Anyhow, we fucking raped the Soviet Union like it was a small child and the Axis was a large pedophile. It was beautiful. Germany conquered Moskva, Stalingrad, Leningrad, Archangel, Murmansk, and made it as far as taking Magnitogorsk before the Soviets called it quits.
Turkey, as a member of the Axis, annexed Saudi Arabia and Iraq, and held almost all of Egypt. Japan had all of Nationalist and Communist China, Indochina, the Phillippines, Bhutan, and most of India. Germany conquered St. John's (Newfoundland), and Argentina annexed France.

It was a wonder to behold. Now I gotta try to play it while actually doing something. Maybe I'll try being Canada.

I've never once finished an HoI game. Also, did you get 1.04 downloaded? The other AIs should of been able to hold longer, was the UK taken?

Yeah, I've got 1.4...I was pretty surprised, but it happened. It seems that once Germany starts beating the USSR, there's no turning back. Germany conquered all of the UK.

The only thing the allies had going for them is that the Americans had the Italian peninsula up to Rome and Naples.

I'm going to try again, this time as a bigger country. Maybe Canada or Italy.

Bah, playing as the USSR is where its at. Germany was out of the war in 1940, then it was Japan's turn, and now its the Allies turn ...

I really should get this game, then fuck around with its settings so I can carry out Luxemburg’s bid for world domination.

I did that with minimal changes.

Luxembourg took Denmark, Belgium, Holand, Norway, Sweden, then Siam.
