I'm going to be getting a new system soon and will probably get a gig of RAM with it, is that enough for most games? I heard everquest 2 requires 512 megs, what about CnC generals?

If you ever want to play CnC Generals and want the experience to be at least enjoyable, you should have at least 256 megs RAM and, I say, about 1.5 GHz CPU.

Generals is a CPU hog.

A 1 GB of RAM should be enough for 1 maybe 2 years.
Some games like IL2:FB already need more than 512 MB
to run well.

Age of Mythology and some Mircosoft product or other hog most of my memory. Cossacks and Aok don't help much either.
