OK, the title says it all.

I put forward the following:

15 man teams on the field.

5 points for a "try" - getting the ball (in hand) through the goal space.

2 points for a "field goal" - getting the ball through the goal space.

No armour allowed. Soft uniforms only. Some species with natural defenses may circumvent this rule.

The ball should measure between 20 and 25 cm long and 12-15 cm in diameter.

Now- onto the REAL rules of the game...

OK, Colins informed me that its to be a "stick" sport, so a round ball is in order...

If I recall correctly, the Fenari ball game is a more violent variant of lacrosse. I remember something about an exploding ball, but they might have changed that part.

Scoops also help for catching/passing

Each player is alowed a limited amount of Propelant (allowing players to "Right them selves even in the center of the ring),

I would assume the use of an antigrav device on the ball and the players.

Exploding ball has been removed for Civil rights reasons

Any restriction on the use of natural weapons....claws and poison fangs(sleeping nurotoxin, and lethal cytotoxin in our case)?

So long as plenty of antidote avialable, no problem, although It's suggested that keeping to sleep toxin is suggested.

Actually how about having a tubular arena? With a goal at each end of the tube and with the players not being allowed propellent, instead having to push off the sides or the "floating obstacles" (another recommendation of mine) in order to maneuvre...

You probably wouldn't want to use those on the Phoenixes, their chemical balance tends to be fairly sensitive. They're like Eversor Assassins that way...

Since the arena is a Zero G Zone the obsticles also help the players with your sugestion, as they have more things to "Push" off of.

Also the Fenari resident human "Exiles" are mostly from Ireland and Austrialia.

Edit they have enough other "toxins" in their system most of the time.

Eversor Assassins are from 40K, between missions they are kept in cryo-stasis. They tend to be massively mentally unstable, and are supercharged killing machines. They are constantly loaded up on a whole variety of drugs which, somehow keep each other in balance. The moment that this is thrown out of balance though, they detonate, with somewhat astounding results.

This seems to be the sort of game which Floaters would excell at.

Pity. I hope some other means of keeping the players on their toes has been implemented in its place.

I think armor should be allowed for human players due to their naturally less resistant skin, compared with the Fenari.

Please note that though armour has been banned, other forms of "augmentation" have not.

The "Northern Edge Phoenixes" are well known to be on pretty much every performance enhancing drug in the known universe.

While the "Hades Kittens" are genetic altered humans with some "Kitten" (as is THE EVIL Kitten) DNA inserted to give them insane reflexes and fortitude.

Well painful electrical shock discharges from the ball, if it is not launched tword one of the Goal fields in a given amout of time.
