With the (seemingly)grand new patch coming up I think we should start setting up to play together once it is released. Set up different things like which classes(and subtypes of those classes) we'll have to make a more balanced team, which port to play on, ladder/normal, hardcore/normal, etc.

I'd prefer to be a Barb, Asn, or Sorc.
I refuse to be Druid, Zon, or Pala.
I'll settle for a Necro.

I'd prefer normal for group play, I intend to ladder it alone.

I'd really really really not like to play hardcore.

I can play on US. East or West no problem.

Oh also I suggest we start from lvl 1 and work up.

Awww, what's wrong with the Druid? I loved my Druid. And you would too; I had 16 levels into my Oak Sage spirit: +95% hp to all in the group.

Still, I'd probably start an Asn if I could my LoD to run. Corba Strike is the best move she's got; I was doing Hell Meph runs at like level 40! Not too hard if you're a Zon or a Sorc (dumb uber-classes!), but for a non-uber class it sucks.

I'd gladly provide druidic support for the group. It's pretty much my favourite class.

I'm into diablo II. My best characters are usually barbarians, though we'll see if that's still the case later... but I can play as pretty much anything. Probably not druid though, that's the only character class that I havn't played a character to level 45+. Depending on what they do with them a necro could be fun, especially since this looks focused on party play.

I'm mostly on US West, but I could play on East also.

If noone else wants the role, I'll provide the smitey goodness with the paladin....always seemed to be my best class..

I despise Paladins more than any other D2 creation possible. I'd gladly wade through fetid jungles with a hundred pygmies stabbing me in the back and a thousand mosquitoes giving me deadly diseases while having my eyes pecked out by killer blue birds than play as a Pally!

That and Necros...ugh...

I tend to play paladins, particularly "cleric" paladins. The one I just started is concentrating on Prayer and Holy Bolt. I like playing support a bit more than front-line fighter, but I'll play any class/sub-class you guys need me to.

My tank Paladin, 'Mr.Batou'.... ah the memories... oh well... after playing for 200some hours, a game loses it's charm... especially with all the item hackers and PKers out there.

With a druid I'm more than happy to tank through everything....I tend to play an almost pure Werewolf with enough HP to duke it out with anything going....only the iron maiden curse can come close to slowing me down.
We'll need to see what 1.10 offers....

I like the idea of being of use to my party that I'm in...like the whole self sacrifice deal...you might not be a powerhouse...but your buds sure are...things like concentration or salvation...not forgetting meditation.. can really make a party awesome...along with a barb and war chant....you have an unstoppable combo...

Hooah. Pure Might-line paladins = teh r0x0rz for your party (and yourself, I can solo just fine with mine).

Possibly...fanaticism is a little short on the old aura...sometimes something like Salvation is the only way to go when you absolutely must stop that elemental damage....essensial for hell adventures...

I'm in...I'll take either Sorc or Paladin...whichever you prefer.

Usually on West because Blizzard are bitches...and I for some reason don't get East that often(though it's the coast I'm on)

I guess I could start playing again. I could be a druid barb sorc necro but I'd prefer to be a druid or necro. I think they are phun. By now I guess all my characters have been deleted by now so tell me when the patch coes out and I'll download diablo to my computer again.

I can play either Sorc or Necro, preferably a support role with both.


I play on USWest, but can go into any other realm if necessary, since we seem to be wanting to all start from lvl 1.


The biggest problem is organizing the games, with all the different time zones we're in.

I recently started playing again and wouldn't mind getting together for a game.
I'll play anything although I'm not fond of the Necro or Paladin.

What!? Are you mad!? That would be a severe breach of poking protocol, as outlined in the user's manual, volume IV, section C-353-A7, line 4.

Anyway, if your going with anything....a paladin with a gemmed repeating crossbow is just funny...

I'll dig out my old D2 disks (also have the expansion pack as well).

I havent played for a long time, and will have to read up on the latest stratagese. Preferable the ones which are lag tolerant (I live in Australia, even if I have broadband I still lag)


I like to play in groups I can trust.

If some one can dream up some times we can all get onto the same server at the same time that would be great.

I normally play Sorcs, Paladins or barbarians.

I'm in GMT+8 timezone.

Ok I think we should try and figure out a group of 8(from what I hear thats still going to be the max) that would be the best combo of players we could have.

I think I'd like to fill the role of a barbarian. I've never taken one past nightmare before, but I have a pretty good type I like. It's a twohanded barb mastering the slowest weapons. Clubes, but one always has a good mana drain, and I combine that with double swing to kill the slow attack speed, puting points into double throw(from rumors I've heard) to increase double swings damage, and using frenzy as my left click. Works very well with War Hammers, can just pound almost anything into oblivion quickly.

Here's my suggestion for the team

Two Tanks:Barb* + Druid
One support melee: Trapassin, Martial Artist assassin*, Paladin, Barb
(replacing the Tank Barb with a warcry sword and shield barb)
Two distance: Zons, Two handed throwing barb*.
Two Spellcasters: Sorcs of various types*, Curse and Casting Necro*
One Summoner: Druid or Necro.

*- I'll be willing to play these characters.

Alright. Will we take these character on the new Ladder mode?
