Man, this guy is still around? I have not thought about him in a long time. I even forget when this whole BC3000 stuff went down. Didnt he release the game in almost unplayable condition then act like it was the gamers fault?

I got yelled at personally by him on his message board. Then again, I did something stupid and was whining about the insane sysrqs of BCM. Hey, only 13 people. Well I found out about SD.Net through there.

From what I heard it was the publishers who relased the game unfinished, they wanted it in the stores for Christmas.

a DIFFERENT publisher, and each time it's "unfinished". Derek Smart

Wait, isn't Generations out already? I've seen it at Software Etc. for monthes now.

So what is the word on this one? I have Millenium and have devoted the time to play it.

EDIT: have *not* been able to play it.

No, that's Millenium, which is quite stable, just like the fixed release of the original. It's on sale for only $20 Australian at Electronics Boutique- I was thinking about getting it, but when I heard about Generations I thought I'd wait. Also, for some reason, it takes ages for the BC games to reach Australia.

The only problem with Millenium is the graphics are a bit behind the curve. Hence Battlecruiser Generations- which has jaw dropping visuals. The opus, if you will.

I respect Derek Smart, he's stuck to his dream- the game has incredible size and scope, it's really quite impressive. Come on, get in a spacesuit and exit your ship, fly around in one of your fighters, drive around in tanks, and walk about on the surface of the planet as infantry with a variety of weapons, ON TOP of commanding a variety of capital ships capable of true mass destruction? What's not to like?
