Help with Fallout 2

I've found Vault 13. West of V13 is another "town" that consists of a fenced area and a tunnel that is blocked with rocks. There's tracks heading under the rocks and a cart on the rocks. It says that a metal pole attached to the truckmay help move the orcks. I attach a pole to the truck and it then says that dynamite attached to the pole would move the rocks. Here's the problem: How do you attach dynamite to the pole? Every time i "use" the dynamite it just falls on the floor!

Yes...the ugly rock on the pole bit.

Here's the solution...and believe me I felt like a dumbass...

1. Put Dynamite in hand

2. Click on pole once in cart

3. It'll do the rest.

When you say once in cart, do you mean once the pole is in the cart or once you are in the cart? If the latter can you tell me how you get in.

Just the pole...basically find pole and dynamite...which you've done.

Put pole in cart

Put Dynamite in Hands

Click on pole...should attach dynamite

and it goes off to the pile of rocks automatically(That part I'm a bit fuzzy on)

And watch out down there...lotsa of meanies with big weapons.

GURR So thats how you do it!! Every single time I play this game I get to that area and can never solve the puzzle eventually I get sick of it and Scream. Turning to another game for a while for comfort when I return I decide to start again.... Get to the same area and SCREAM... repeat Thank you

No problem...the saddest part is that it has some obvious bits...but nowhere in the game do you have to anything like it...so usually it's a ugly stumper.

And many FAQs never quite cover it correctly.

Have fun with the supermutants. There's not much left from when your ancestor blew it up in Fallout 1- just some original model Power Armor- which I never needed because I always had the superior Enclave model by then.

Shhhhh...that was supposed to be the surprise :P .

But still yeah the old model power armor is about it...which I upgraded and gave to either Cassidy or Sulik.

You used those guys? I never used anyone. I went it alone- I felt it was more with my personality. Oh, and 'anyone' excludes Dogmeat in Fallout and the Cyberdog (the smart one, in the Enclave) in Fallout 2 :)

about 5-6 times...the other times I've varied...tried big, small, commando style...both really smart and as dumb as a stone

So around I'd say 20-21 time playing the game...one of the few games I have truly replayed and found all sortsa of neato things.

Though yes...must have Dogmeat...and Cyberdog. :P

I like taking my characters from movies.

I usually played as a 50's western cowboy: All reasonable points in PE, CH, and AG, tagged small guns, speechcraft, and whatever else came to mind. If you can't talk your way out of a situation, then you let the guns do the talking :)

But the most fun I had was when I played as William Munny from Unforgiven. Pumped endurance and perception, mostly forgot about non-combat skills, and behaved like a total bastard the whole way through. Who decided he liked the New Reno atmosphere, but 'disliked' the gangs? William Munny. Who decided that he hated the Chinese, and shot his way through San Francisco? William Munny. :D

Take either of them...go over to the car and try to get a Use function from the mini menu that pops up.

Then from there pick either Fusion Cells or Batteries...it's a bit testy because you have to hit a sweet spot on said car.

Or you can have the batteries in your inventory, click and hold on almost any point of the car, and select "Use Inventory" from the menu that pops up. In your inventory, just click on your preferred energy storage device.

AKA Fallout tactics. It was good for a days gaming, then it got boring.

Fallout 3 *could* be the project "Van Buren". (Interplay likes to give development codenames based on historic US Presidents)

http://www.nma-fallout.com/

It's under the June 7th news, second-to-last. Or, it could be project Jefferson. Although a lot of people are betting that it's Van Buren. Time will tell.

::sigh::

You just use the batteries on the car's hood.
