Well, OK, so I haven't tried installing it in a while, and the last time I did it was Mandrake 9.1 RC1. But now I've got Mandrake 9.1 final, with most of the goodies, and the Acrobat plugin for Mozilla even works (although it took some time and a few Google searches to figure that out.)
However, there's one thing that's bugging me. I copied my Mozilla profile over from Windows, making sure to modify prefs.js and delete a bunch of the dynamic cache stuff, although I kept my mail intact... However, Mozilla (1.3) now tends to crash abruptly for no reason at all. Is there something I missed?
Finally I get Linux running right...

Well, upgrading to Mozilla 1.4 RC1 seems to have fixed it (I think it was a Japanese character encoding problem.) I guess the Mandrake people simply mangled the bundled version as usual.
