One's supposedly based on the other.

Anyway, what's the difference between the two?

Mandrake used to be more-or-less a RedHat wrapper. It's diverged quite a bit since, though.

There are numerous differnces - Mandrake prefers KDE, RedHat likes GNOME, for example.

/me has Mandrake ISOs...

And I'm waiting to get a new Uber Battleship to test it on. Maybe I can get a 3GHZ pent4 to act like a 6GHz Pentium 6... :P

You should know that Windows still has the upper hand when it comes to games.

Second, the only way to make a 3 GHz P4 to go at 6 GHz is to use liquid nitrogen as a cooling substance. :P

EDIT: I have Mandrake 9.1 CDs, but for some reason I can't get it to install on my comp. Weird. :?

I have not seen a noticable difference in speed between Linux and Windows. If anything, I find the graphics hardware acceleration of XFree86 to be inferior to that of GDI.
