I finally managed to get my Wing Commander mod for Freelancer to the pre-alpha stage. If you want to see what it's like, go to http://www.blacklance.org/flprtr.rar and give it a whiff. I should note that a mod manager like FLMM makes things easier (go to www.lancersreactor.com if you don't know what the hell I'm talking about)

That's the wrong way to tickle Mary, that's the wrong way to kiss!
Don't you know that, over here lad, they like it best like this!
Hooray, pour les français! Farewell, Angleterre!
We didn't know how to tickle Mary, but we learnt how, over there!

404'd!
I searched through the second site and found no "mod manager" or any such thing... just a difficult-to-look-at un-searchable list of various mods.

Sadly, there are no Darkening ships in here, only Wing Commander and original Privateer ones. However, if enough people bug me about it I suppose I can squeeze some in.

Thanks. Looks cool, though I haven't played a WC game in some time (I think last I played was WCIII, oh, 4 years ago). I just bought all the guns I could a annihilated some freighter in like 3 shots... then everything in Liberty was on my ass and I died.

For those of you interested in more, there's a screenshot threat at our semi-official forums here that you may be interested in.
On the other hand, if you like Wing Commander but feel constrained by Freelancer, try Vega Strike. Version 4.0 includes improves, creepily FreeSpace-like graphics and a dynamic universe. Well, that's what he says. You can find out more at the offical website here.[/url]
