Firebird is good no doubt about that BUT!

I really love to type something in the adress field and hit darrow for an easy google search.

Did't find that feature in firebird, when I get that I will convert.

to search, type "google keywords" or click on the magnifing glass in the text box in the upper right, and click on google. Now that text box will search google...

You can customize the bar to add in a search field, which can be used to search DMoz, Google or something on the page.

I called this. I totally called it. I do development for my school's Internet Tools CD that we distribute to students. It's one of those CD's that's loaded with software and configuration scripts and stuff. We distribute Mozilla as the primary browser. Around the middle of the month, when 1.4 RC1 was released, we were talking about whether or not we'd include 1.4 or stick with 1.3.1. I said something to the effect of, "They're going to go release the day before we begin beta testing."

We begin beta testing tomorrow.

Murphy in action. Is it too late to roll out M1.4 to the beta testers?

Nope. I had Mozilla 1.4 up and running with our custom bookmarks and such within a half hour. It's just the damned inconvenience of customizing it, putting it in the VISE installer, setting all the correct flags and the like.

And beside that, what beta testers? I am a simultaneous developer, support tech and tester. :)

At last! Tabbed windows now have memory of the URL you type even if it doesn't connect. Now I can hit enter to try again instead of typing the whole damn thing again.

That and the ability to disable the Mail&News proggy for MAILTO, but I dunno if that's new.
