Surely you jest, either that or you've never had the pleasure of playing one of the best games of the Gamecube (of any console, as far as I'm concerned). For those who don't know, Eternal Darkness is a game designed as a psychological thriller (aka "scary mind fuck"), and succeed rather well...GrandAdmiralPrawn wrote:Eternal what? Never heard of it.
I don't know jack-all about the Cthulhu mythos, so I can't comment much on that...Lagmonster wrote:Have to ask...is it just ME, or does the whole Eternal Darkness game just REEK of Cthulhu mythos? Even down to the deep, squiggly GOO's and other random things.
That's not saying much.Lord of the Farce wrote:one of the best games of the Gamecube
I believe River City Ransom earned this honor back in the 80's.(of any console, as far as I'm concerned).
Then what would be saying much? Hmmm?TheFeniX wrote:That's not saying much.Lord of the Farce wrote:one of the best games of the Gamecube

If you don't factor in PS1 games and multireleases, PS2 is not that far ahead of Gamecube when it comes to great games(although I prefer a lot of GCN games over PS2 games), but the PS2 was out first(by a while IIRC). X-Box being the clear loser game wise.TheFeniX wrote:That's not saying much.Lord of the Farce wrote:one of the best games of the Gamecube
IIRC It was a NES game that had a scene where you saw a guys ass.Lord of the Farce wrote:Never heard of it.I believe River City Ransom earned this honor back in the 80's.(of any console, as far as I'm concerned).
It's the lack of analog controls. Although I haven't played it myself, Resident Evil for the N64 is suppose to be the only one of the series so far which actually employs full analog controls.Vympel wrote:Eternal Darkness kicks the shit out of Resident Evil and it's ilk, I'll tell you that much. After playing it, trying out Resident Evil (on Gamecube) just sucked. Like, I don't remember the control system for RE being so horrific, but after finishing Eternal Darkness three times (it's THAT fun) Resident Evil is retarded by comparison.
