Monitor Advice
My monitor just turned yellow/green for no apparent reason. It's a MAG Innovision DX1595, a really old model. Advice?

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.
Get a new monitor. Plat panel. 22". $1000 at my local Future Shop.

Wow. It took me a good minute to remember I didn't have testicles. -xBlackFlash
Are you sure this isn't like that time Michael Jackson stopped by your house so he could use the bathroom? - Superman

Ugh, that's an expensive solution. The most likely problem is a pinched or otherwise messed-up monitor cable (I've seen this problem before on CRT monitors).YT300000 wrote:Get a new monitor. Plat panel. 22". $1000 at my local Future Shop.

There are no apparent problems with the cable. As for the monitor running hot? Not really, I have a fan in the room and A/C.

The cable might look normal but still be defective. Check the pins, fiddle with it, see what happens.Durran Korr wrote:There are no apparent problems with the cable. As for the monitor running hot? Not really, I have a fan in the room and A/C.

Re: Monitor Advice
Kick your computer, shake your moniter violently with both hands, one on either side.Durran Korr wrote:My monitor just turned yellow/green for no apparent reason. It's a MAG Innovision DX1595, a really old model. Advice?
The computer should wet itself with this display of anger, and the overabundance of yellow will disappear onto the floor.
Howedar is no longer here. Need to talk to him? Talk to Pick.
I use a 19'' flat screen trinitron. The classic.
