I am a typical fps fanatic when it comes the aliens vs predator series. I think i am quite good, since i have only been beated by one or two people. HOwever, there has been some weirdness lately on all of the servers.

However, despite the "goodness" of this game, i notice people abusing it evermore frequently to the point that almost no one plays fairly or for fun anymore.


Seen happenings:

A: Generous usage of the "spawn" kill/camp and/or weapon camping
B: Spammage of game glitches such as machine gun sniper fire and/or pulse rifle stagger fire.
C: Retarted abuse of host power, whereas they kick you if you win and/or they just dont like you for some godforsaken reason.
D: last but not least, destroying weapons so no one can get anything and then killing themselves over and over and over.


THis is disturbing.

Welcome to online gaming. I run into most of that everyday I game online.

I love Counter-Strike. Sure, some people tend to be assholes, but that's in any game. In games like CS or Rocket Arena 3, you can't do a,b,and d! C can happen, but with thousands of servers, just pick another one. Wheee go non-TFC-like games!

Yeah there is not much you can do but chance servers until you find one that suits you.

Heck, start your own server...

Destroying weapons was always my favourite tactic.

Then again I'm also one of the people who likes scuttling up walls behind you, or staying perfectly still until you move underneath me, then twitching so your motion sensor goes nuts, then dropping on your head and eating it. Yummm..

I was always a Pred Discer. I'd hide in the corner, cloaked, continually switching my vision modes. (In hindsight this could have caused my epilepsy.) So when anyone got close, I flew a homing disc at them, and recloaked.

I will always maintain the opinion that the original Aliens vs Predator not only had better gameplay, it also had better sound, and, don't ask me how, BETTER GRAPHICS.

AVP2 sucks ass- the weapon sounds are retarded, for some ridiculous reason they got rid of the canonical flamethrower design, and it's not nearly as hard.

The original was certainly much more tense, anyway. No idea what they did to the flamethrower, though I think the weapons sound fine.

I completely agree with this. I also really like the ad for it on my Aliens tape, whoever made that was damn good at there job.
