Best Game Intro?

Topic.

IMO, Starcraft: BroodWar had an excellent introductory cutscene. (Even if it seemed a little strange that the marine didn't kill a single Zergling after using a whole clip...)

Yeah, RA2's intro was pretty damn good. I didn't think Yuri's Revenge' intro was in the same class though...

RA2 was definitely good.

I like Jane's Longbow 2 and Battlefield 1942 intros as well.

IAF had a good intro, and this thread has been done before

X-Wing, TIE Fighter, and X-Wing alliance all had class intros. X-Wing Vs. TIE Fighter I never owned, so I don't know about that one.

I vaguely remember the original Red Alert having a cool intro as well. You know I think I'm gonna play that game again now.

And of course, Fallout. That intro was nothing flashy as far as effects or anything like that go, but it was very atmospheric. Fallout 2 also had a good intro, but it was basically a rip-off of the first one, no imagination required really.

I always liked the intro you got when you selected the Empire as your side in Star Wars Supremacy as well. Imperial March + Executor = ratings.

Knights of the Old Republic. It opens like a trailer for a movie. You get to see a sith battleship BDZing a city, and then you see Jedi going at each other like crazy.

Fallout had a great touch to it.

But I'm going to have to vote for Phantasy Star IV.

Warcraft III.

Not the one that first plays, the proper intro when you start a new campaign.

All the CGI is good, but seeing huge hordes of Orcs and Humans bearing down on each other is truly stunning.

Oh boo hoo.

Anyway, I loved SWR's Empire intro...stormtroopers snapping to attention to you in the Executor's bay while the Imperial March plays...

Best overall...I kinda liked Rogue Spear's. It was powerful to me.

The US version of the opening/ending themes is awful, hideous guff.

The Japanese/Euro version is cheesier than week-old socks, but at least it isn't painful.
