Help!

I lost the case to my CD (really, I still have the disc but not the case) and I want to be able to reinstall it after I reformat my computer. Naturally Blizzard won't provide a new one. Anyone know a way to obtain a legitimate one?

Buy a new copy of the game.

Sorry but thats the only "legit" way to go about it, other than talking Blizzard into giving you a new one (highly unlikely).

Other option is to get a cracked key on the net somewhere.

Too bad your cd key didn't just wipe off like my key did...otherwise you could've returned and exchanged it.

Might your current CD key be somewhere in the registry? You could try to dig that up.

You could try just using a keygen program to get a key. You still have the legitimate CD so it should let you play bnet.

Nope. It's the code not the disc itself.

If all else fails I'll give you mine, I don't play WC3.

If you'd really want to. I don't want to mess Warcraft up for you. Of course, it wouldn't affect the single player. Mostly just for Battle.net actually. If Blizzard doesn't help and I can't find my disc I might take you up on your offer.

Lol, I used his when I lost mine.

I heard some people had problems running TFT and the Original from using the same cd key even though TFT has its own. So if you guys work something out, and it doesn't always work. Tell me and I'll re-install with my pass key.

That does really suck, I suggest whenever you get some vital info like that to write it down or save as a file somewhere, wish they would put the key right on the CD, that way if you can't lose it without losing the game.

also isn't it possible to have a legit CD key that's on a case you bought from a store and for someone to already be using it on battlenet, either they cracked it or it leaked out from blizzard somehow? Someone told me he bought starcraft and when he tried to play it online it said someone was using his key.

I lost the flimsy sticker on my Diablo II jewel case once. I just called Blizzard. They told me to mail my case and CD to them with a little personal info and they'd send me a new one. I did. They did. Took about two weeks.

This is the good thing about Neverwinter Nights and it's official site. You can choose to save your CD Key for future access when you sign up your account at the site.

Just for public knowlage: TFT checks the original CD key also, as I learned first hand. Everything's legit with me now, though. Anyway, I hope those CD key-getters or something work out, unless you have W3 installed somewhere still, or get help from Blizzard that looks like your best shot.

Remember how people said that Blizzard had the best customer support on the market.

I'd go down to the store and when nobody's looking tear open a WC3 box, find the CD case, copy down the CD key sticker number, then go back home and use that. Because that's just so eeeviiilll!

There's too problems. I lost the case (and the other stuff) when I moved which I why I'm in this mess. I only have the disc itself. That's not good enough for them. And of course they haven't gotten back to me about just sending the disc.

You actually send them the disc? I would never risked it unless I've already tried using hacks.

Since we're on the subject. Why isn't the previous no cd hacks not working? It's doing some checksum bs.

If you haven't realize the program extract the cd key from *your* disc. It is an legitimate copy if your disc is dumbass
