Everytime they try to release it another game on the back of a bigger company probably just releases soemthing at the s ame time.... and you know how that goes ... they're too timid to try to compete, because some gamerz are anal about that shit, and if they see the two on the shelf it looks a little like this...
Blizzard! ----------------- 3D realms

Eventually someone is going to realize that almost no one cares anymore and that the game is badly dated, it will then be canacled. I figure that day will come in five or six years.

Voted 'It will suck' out of sheer maliciousness.

It will be out before Diablo 6, but not before Starcraft 3.

And at about the same time as Team Fortress 3

"Duke Nukem Forever" is a good title. "Forever" in development.

Everyone knows that Gravy Trader will be out last, and will blow away both TF2 and DNF.

DNF was originally due for release on about September 15 2001. It had gone gold, etc etc etc. Then after September 11 the developers said that they would delay release out of respect and also because they had a set piece battle around the WTC. So, question - how long DOES it take to remake a couple of levels? Certainly not 2 years.
Duke Nukem Whenever, thats all I have to say.

Don't you know? Broussard and his crew have just been tipping back cold ones and masturbating to hardcore pornography all this time. DNF is their own pet project in psychology, fucking with every gamer out there. There are so many people who would probably tear Broussard's throat out if they could, simply because he's delayed so long.
They know it. And they'll keep doing it, because they're having fun.
DNF? Just a private Unreal mod with some doctored screenshots a few years back, and some posts on the forum; everyone's at home living off the interest from the DN3D and Manhattan Project profits.

I'd play that if it had an accurate gravy supply and demand generator and a gravy viscosity simulator.

You fool! Don't you understand? Gravy Trader has
everything. Even an RTS mode. The project is somewhat hindered, however, as its lead developer has no hands.

It'll go the way of Team Fortress 2. I remember seeing a trailer for it that looked kick-ass, but that was over a year ago. Those same graphics today are substandard. It's using the original Unreal's engine, for Christ's sake. And it started on the Quake 2 engine! This thing's been in development forever, and forever in development it shall remain.

Slightly off-topic, but TeamFortress 2 was voted the best game of the year at E3 in 1998

I believe TF2 is now using* the HL2 engine.
*Only if you consider a game that will probably never be released to use any particular engine.

It'll come out when Falcon 5.0 is released

It will come out when someone makes a proggy to develop games with no input needed at all in the process. Then 3d Realms might just run the proggy on a few computers, and voila! Duke Nukem Forever!
