Protoss rushers in SC broodwar. I hate them because i can't figure out how they do it. 10 minutes in and 20-40 dragoons show up on my doorstep. Usually with allies. I don't even have time to evacuate to another base. Just boom. They always wash over my defenses and take out power(if i'm protoss), resources, troop production, before i can do anything. And It pisses me OFF. How do they fucking do this? THey'd have to build like 20 drones get em mining ,a bunch of vespene mines and large ammounts of troop production before i even have a half way decent defense setup.

I always get rushed bad. I've just started building walls upon walls of defense and letting my allies do the attacking, when I play. I don't know how these people do it either, but I've been come at 6 min into the game (i was counting, 'cause it was No Rush 20 min) with ~45 flying zerg-things (can't remember name, lol), and 24 protoss scouts, when I was just building my 5th hatchery... arg. Pisses me off as well.

every game as of late, i've been terran so i can fly my base to an ally when the going gets tough. Then 10 minutes later, they get rused and i die anyway.

Only time I have been accused of "rushing" with Protoss was when I sent a couple of scouts, a dozen 'Lots, and a six-pack of Goons over to my opponents base in the first ten minutes...
Rushing, my ass. He was just a poor player. (Only had one barracks, and didn't even have a machine shop!)
EDIT: So what I did was, I cannoned all the exits to his base, trapping him, and said I would let him build for ten more minutes.
Ten minutes later, I swept in with my 200-some food supply army and easily crushed him.

Most of these guys spend all availible resources on gateways, and basic units. I've found you can hold them off buy building one gateway and making sure at every chance you're working on creating more zealots. This hurts them in the long run as they burn so much time and effort on the rush. If you hold them off and have the units is reserve, you counter-attack can be devastating.
This almost always gives you enough units to hold off their first rush, and buying you time to get air units and base DF.

I have been hit with that too.
You just have to get a very efficient build queue set up. I had it down to the point where I had my first carrier up in 10 minutes, with around 25 photons and 12 zealots for defense.
I used to be called cheesy.
The funiest thing is reaver rushers. A guys sent a 4 reavers into my base with shuttles once. About 4 scouts stayed at my base and owned up on the reavers, while 24 zealots rushed his base. He had nothing.
Rushers are dumb and always lose to a balanced approach. This isn't TA, they can only have the best of 1 world, and it takes 3-5 minutes to set up a good rush.

Ok, So i find a nice no rush game, set up a rock solid d, and have the best player in the game as my ally. What could hapen? He refused to check allied victory, let me act as a distraction the whole game, then sent in about 1000 hydralisks into my base after canceling alliance. Blows dosen't it?

Yeah, back-stabbers suck ass. I swear, nobody wants to do an alliance anymore; its just "Wait until the end of the game when all our enemies are dead, and attack my weakest ally", when more often then not you're the weakest because you were out there kicking ass while he was sitting back and preparing to betray you. There should be options for alliances that could be permanent (and no friendly-fire, because even if you had perm-alliances some assholes would just use force-fire to kill you).
Fucking back-stabbers.

You could get the (ahem, *illegal hack*) called Ally-Alert that will (among other cheat-related things), tell you when someone changes those settings, and automatically changes yours to match. That way, people can't unally with you without you noticing.

It wasn't so bad though, i got to see a fuck load of hydralisks swarm over my photon cannons reaping death and destruction as they went.

I used to have a friend who could ultralisk Rush, coolest thing ever.
On the note of whiners though I will say that I remember giving someone 15 minutes, and then coming in with 8 Carriers to find all he had were space gateway things, and 3 photon cannons. HE accuses me of rushing so I retreat and give him another ten minutes, and then I come in and discover that he only rebuilt what I destroyed, and built 1 scout. After laying waste to him I discover that the reason he had nothing was because he had hacked and blocked off my enterence with about 50 or sixty Proton Cannons. Kinda Ironic wasn't it

not quite ironic, but slightly amusing. I usually play custom maps (I LOVE Evolves, some versions can be very fun), 'cause most normal ones I play in end up with hackers (it can happen in custom maps too, but a Fastbuild+lotz o' money hack doesn't do shit when all you own are a bunker and 2 science vessels that spew units at regular intervals
)
