FPS, Street Fighter-style fighting games, RTS's, RPGs, Diablo-like games, etc.

What's your favorite?

As for me, now that I think about it, it's FPS games.

FPS. I like RTS too (/me == CnC junkie), but I haven't played much recently. I play a litte bit of web-based strategy games, that might count.

Toss up between FPS, RPG, and adventure. (Adventure meaning, Lucasarts style.)

Strategy. I've enjoyed all Civilization games I've been able to play, own both Age Of Empires games, (although none of the expansions) and I've also tried out "Homeworld: Cataclysm" and found that entertaining as well.

RPG's all the way! Unless someone comes out with a super fast pased action game, then I'm stuck to playing that 24/7. (Like ZOE, or DevilMayCry)

FPS, RPG and RTS.

Sometimes I like to play FPS's the most, sometimes RTS, but in the past days I have been more of an RPG guy.

RPGs, bitch. Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Skies of Arcadia. Saving the planet from the comfort of my chair. Bring it on!

Also into adventure games too, especially Zelda, Mario and Metroid. I grew up Nintendo!

I love FPS and RTS, and some Flight Sims are awesome. The only RPG I ever liked was Dungeon Siege, but I plan on liking KOTOR as well.

C&C? I'm there.
Starcraft? All over it.
Warcraft ('cept three. You can shove that up your tailpipe)? Bitchin'.
Dune? Awwww yeah.

And Unreal Tournament. Most FPS's suck. UT rocks.

military RTS (no fantasy or medieval sub-genres, though), tactical shooters, space and (sometimes) flight-sims.

RPGs, mostly. Tactical squad games, back when they existed.
I even dabble in RTS every once in a while (I'm technically currently playing WCIII...)
'Next time I let Superman take charge, just hit me. Real hard.'
'You're a princess from a society of immortal warriors. I'm a rich kid with issues. Lots of issues.'
'No. No dating for the Batman. It might cut into your brooding time.'
'Tactically we have multiple objectives. So we need to split into teams.'-'Dibs on the Amazon!'
'Hey, we both have a Martian's phone number on our speed dial. I think I deserve the benefit of the doubt.'
'You know, for a guy with like 50 different kinds of vision, you sure are blind.'

Hm, lets see....top of the pile, RPG's....always my favourites....these days I'm not too fussed with the offerings in the other genres I like but RPG's still keep me glued to the moniter.....
As for other types...old lucasarts adventures....and old squad based tactical games both have places in my heart......and when I am in the mood strategy games can keep me enthralled....

Console RPGs of the Japanese variety. Computer RPGs have never really done it for me.

RPG=Diablo II and the like and RTS=Age of Empires II-The Conquerors. That game pwns SC.~Jason.
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

Never call Diablo II an RPG, lest I hurt you severely.

RPG= Baldur's Gate, Fallout, Arcanum, Neverwinter Nights, Morrowind, to name the recent good games in the genre.

Dialbo II is an action click fest masquerading as an RPG.

Hmmm.....in order:

Fighting games- KOF, Street Fighter VS series, etc.
RPGs- particularly Japanese console style.
Adventure- Metal Gear Solid, Maximo, those types of games.
Quirky Games- Think Mr. Mosquito, Mad Maistro, Parappa, etc.
FPS- Jedi Knight, Elite Force
Stategy- Stuff like Armada (w/ the SW vs ST mod of course), the Sim series (Sim City, Sim Golf, etc)
Everything else- Anything else I missed, like Flight Sims or the occasional sports (Dreamcast DAYTOOOONA!!)

It really depends on my mood. One day I'll be in a fighting game mood....the next I'll be hankering for Ace Combat 4. This is why I own so many fucking games. :?
