What's the difference between SD's latest STGOD and ASVS's?

What's the difference between SD's latest STGOD and ASVS's?
I'm thinking of joining up on this STGOD and importing the Mafiosi. But is there a difference in rules or are they about the same?

The latest. As far as I can understand, there's one similar to the one in ASVS. A STGOD with a severe tech limit? I know that the one being used in ASVS has a 22nd century tech limit.Stormbringer wrote:Which STGOD exactly? We've got a number of them, some active some dead. Which one do you mean exactly?

Which do you mean by lastest? We've got several going on now and more in the works. Be a little more specific than "the latest."
Sorry.... I thought it was being run the same way as in ASVS. One huge STGOD that is constantly being used. It would fizzle then pick up again.Stormbringer wrote:<snip>

How many STGOD's are there here and which one's are better?

Well, there's STGOD 1 Redux and I'm trying to get an Honorverse STGOD off the ground. Plus there's a Justice League and Gnome STGOD out there some where. Take a look and see what you think. Different people are after different things.
STGOD 2 kind of fizzled, not much action. And the orginal first STGOD died thanks to whiny ass power gamers (they know who they are).

Stormbringer, Enigma is referring to THE STGOD--there's only one, and that's the STGOD which is run by, well, STGODers and is a free-for-all crossover of various sci-fi universes with a lunatic blending of various other ideas to add in. All other STGODs are named; THE STGOD is not.

Hey, Enigma, whatever happened to Rog? Does anyone know where Rog is?
I think we can pull some kind of reincarnation manoeuvre here, now.

Yeah the new STGODs just don't have the same flavor as the old ones did, they just don't have the same style to them. Back in the day it was much more creative and chaotic. It was just more fun that way.The Duchess of Zeon wrote:Stormbringer, Enigma is referring to THE STGOD--there's only one, and that's the STGOD which is run by, well, STGODers and is a free-for-all crossover of various sci-fi universes with a lunatic blending of various other ideas to add in. Yup. I doubt the SI could defeat a massive fleet of battlestars and if I have my figures right, the upper end battlestar can dish out over 1e57MW of OWNAGE. Had you fought against the Psychonian empire or it's replacement the I.R.S. you would've had your ass handed back to you.Kyle wrote:<snip>

You really have been out of the loop. But MK II should be a bit more fun to play in.

That's debatable, I'd like to see a battle star react to a volley of ninety trillion hyper missiles with star destroying gravitonic warheads.
As for an upper end battlestar putting out 1e57 a single asgerd could put out 5e50, in energy weapons alone, and was considerably smaller and faster.
Considering my ships were moon sized and yours were star sized it's not surprsing that you had an indivual superiority. Lets just agree we would have fucked up alot of shit

Shielding for a battlestar goes up to 1.74e59TW or 1.74e71W. I think that even if you fired everything you had you'd still come out lacking. Mind you that is for the Super Giant Class Battlestar. Just it appearing should cause some disruptions.Kyle wrote:<snip>

But yes, we'd have one hell of a war. Here's the stats one my battlestars. It's pretty lengthy and mind you I think these stats are old. I may have updated them. (i.e. the torps mentioned have been replaced.)
