AN EX-GATEWAY PIECE OF SHIT!!!

Name: Der Fragmachine ]|[
Model: Was Gateway, now so modified only the BIOS and mobo remain.
OS: Win2K SP3
HDDs: 10GB Maxtor 'Little Boy' 60GB Maxtor 'Fat Man'
RAM: 192MB (actually 64MB PC100 and 128MB PC133 SDRAM, soon to be replaced)
CPU: 400MHz Pentium 2 (slightly underclocks to 397 MHz in summer, OCs to 405 when it's cold)
PSU: 200W
Sound: Sound Blaster and Headphones. It does the job.
CDROM: Standard 45x which sounds like a model airplane engine
Other CD: Cheap effective CDRW drive which sounds like a jet engine!
Internet: COX Cable jerry-rigged to a standard D-Link 10/100BaseT Ethernet card
Case Mod: No sides at all on it, wires hanging out everywhere. I call it 'Electrical Fire Hazard'

As you can see, this rickety old cobbled-together rustbucket verily screams 'Pirate Ship'!!! I'm hoping my next ship won't be such a POS...

I have a Dell.

That means I have a monolithic black box that functions around the clock without complaint. I assume it's a very nice machine, since it cost me three grand. Unfortunately, I bought it using the 'let my wife handle it' theorem, and by the time I get home to check what it ACTUALLY is, I will have forgotten this thread exists.

Chances are, however, that it's a P4 1.6 ghz with 256 MEGs of RAM and a GeForce 3, 64 meg video card, running Win ME, with all wireless/optic components attached to it save my Belkin Nostromo speedpad, which I could not imagine playing videogames without.
Note: I'm semi-retired from the board, so if you need something, please be patient.

YT300000, they do not make any AMD chips above 2.17 GHz right now. I think your confusing the ID number of the AMD Athlon XP 2600.
