So apparently EA is merging SimCopter into the Simcity 4 expansion pack. Other new stuff is more transportation options (like Tokyo high-speed monorails AHAHAHAHAHA) and the requisite new disasters and structures. The most interesting thing is the ability to take direct control of monsters, which could lead to a bit of
They Came From Hollywood-type mania.
I didn't really care for the last two Simcities, but this one is sorely making me reconsider.

I'd buy Simcity Urban Strike, anything less I'm not interested in.

Will this do?
I'm guessing it would be more like Grand Theft Auto III than Nuclear Strike, but meh.

The Simcopter option would be the only real fun part...

Too bad they can't make a GOOD car sim that runs on SimCity files...

I dunno, I thought Streets of Simcity was okay considering the massive amount of modularity it had.

I read it was absolute crap...
What they should do is include options for IMPORTING cities into already-made good car sim franchises, like GTA or Driver or Midtown Madness. Or at least some kind of official or semi-official converter for these files... some sort of open standard for "city" creation.

I think the problem with Streets of SimCity was that it was a concept ahead of it's time. At the time it was made, computers weren't powerful enough for a more playable simulator. I'm sure a decent game like it could be made now, with better graphics and more options.
As for Rush Hour, I really can't wait. I heard there will be new buildings, too.
