Historical tabletop wargames?

Post by justifier »

Does anyone here play historical/RL settings wargames? I started at my school's wargame club last year, we played Guts & Glory a World War II wargame; and AK-47, a simple, but fun modern wargame

Have not played anything of the sorts since high school. Even then I had trouble finding friends who were intereted in wargame. My friends brother and I would play come GDW games, gosh I cant remember the titles now. But they were all Soviet vs US types.

Anyway, I did play a lot of Car Wars with my other friends.

Yeah, I had a lot of trouble finding other players until I basicly stumbled upon this wargame club. It is an offical school club(it gets funding and everything!) ,but the teacher who runs it doesn't put ads in the school newsletter because he wants to keep the club private to actual wargamers, most members only get in because someone already in the club tells them about it.
