Open Group goes after Apple
Figures. There's a reason why Linux and BSD are not officially allowed to call themselves Un*x. :roll: . But why doesn't Apple just pay the goddamn 100k fee?

Dammit, yet more commercial support for GNOME (they already have Sun making GNOME the DE for Solaris). I HATE Gnome. Everything GNOME is crude and has shitloads of dependencies.



Everyone knows the SCO vs. IBM/Linux and RedHat vs. SCO stuff, so no need to post that.

I find that just as confusing.. Unless they are entirely certain they will win in the end.

Lawyer fees probably cost more than that. Then again, I think they have to pay extra for the actual certification. Still, ~600k is like pocket change to Apple.
