The only thing I hear of is nVidia and ATI.
I've heard the parhelia has good AA.
BTW, has ATI shaped up on their driver quality?
How come I never hear anyone mention Matrox GFX HW?

Matrox video cards have been lagging in 3D performance for a very long time and thus do not garner any interest from the gaming crowd. Most of their sales, AFAIK, go to the medical and video sector; their normal graphics cards are consumer implementations of them.
However, their 2D output is stellar and the Parhelia can drive three analog outputs at once, quite useful for some people. The have an interesting form of AA that doesn't always work that well (though the same system can antialias 2D text on the desktop in hardware).
ATI drivers have been shaping up but aren't perfect.
