Ok, so i get mozilla...
just 2 gripes that i've noticed so far:
1) is there any way so that i can get it to open up a new window a la IE6 when i click on a link in msn messenger say? It opens them in an already open window, which is a bit annoying, and i was wondering if there's an option somewhere which pertains to this?
2)Is there any way i can scroll with mouse 3 a la ie6? I'm just an efficient (or lazy) person who finds pissing about with the mousewheel to be more frustrating than sliding all over a page with mouse 3.

1) Not to the best of my knowledge.
2) You
might be able to use some third-party software, like Logitech's software, to get the middle button as a scroller. In Mozilla, however, middle-clicking on a link opens that link in a new window.

Firebird 0.6 supports autoscroll, so some of the newer Mozilla build should have it as well. Go to the "page" about:config and look for something that has 'autoscroll' in it.
There's also a way to get new windows, but I can't remember it.

1. Look at the option advanced.system.supportDDEExec and change to false. I'm running linux though, and the about:config dialog on windows might be different. Is the about:config dialog in regular mozilla 1.4? Otherwise you may have to edit prefs.js
2.
http://autoscroll.mozdev.org/installation.html
It's included in the bleeding edge mozilla nightly and firebird though. May need it if you are using 1.4

I don't think he wants IE as his default browser.
you seem to like IE very much, don't you?
Look at my previous post for #1.

Right-click and select "Open in New Window"

I think he just wants to left click and have it automatically open in new window. Fixing the dde thing does that (for all other programs too), but makes it open in new tab.
I think open in new window from messenger would use IE though. I don't use messenger though. However

You can't do that in messenger IM windows.
Ok, going to try the other things in this thread.
