I tried, but It didn't work, I'm trying to search through a blog for a particular phrase and I want to restrict it to the blog part of the site.

I think what he wants to do is search through the archives of a blog, not only the front page.
I don't think there is a way if a search engine has not indexed it, other than use a web spider program to download the whole thing and search that(not pleasant, takes 8 hours to download Dalton's web site(80MB). Though a blog site is probably smaller. Then you have to find a prog to search through that. Windows find should suffice (make it search through text).
Site: find only works for sites already indexed.

You need a faster connection. I can download 80MB in less than 4 minutes.

Some of us have dial-up.
It's actually good for "casual" web use (if you're not gonna do much multi-player gaming or heavy-duty downloads).
So no reason to feel sorry for anyone.

THe problem is that I don't use the web "casually".
. Lots of heavy duty downloading...
And the 8hours for 80 megs is somewhat inaccurate. It's like 9, assuming 2.5/kB a second on a very good night. On average, it's more like 11 hours at 2.0kB/sec.
