Microsoft in Service Pack bugfix shock!

World ends Tuesday!

Seriously, Microsoft having to patch up bodge-job holes in it's OSes isn't newsworthy, it's as inevitable as the sun rising.

What the hell? Q3 2004?

This had better not be due to a feature inclusion: I thought the IT world made it clear when NT4 SP4 came out that they wanted those separately.

Well, bugfixes will continue to be released for WXP, but it's nice to have them all packaged up in the SP.

2004?! What the FUCK are they smoking? Please tell me that was just a typo and they got the 4 and 3 reversed.....

The ammount of critical updates alone is a pain in the ass to get all at once. (just before hitting 40MB) Thats not counting Media Player 9 and DX9.0b.... Thats alot to get on dial-up......and all of this is after installing SP1a!

There is a new report that says that Q3 2004 refers to fiscal year - not calendar year. That would place it in H1 2004, which is more reasonable.
